Suave House Records was founded in Houston, Texas in 1990 by Tony Draper. The record label has released music from various Southern hip hop artists including Eightball & MJG, Tela, Mr. Mike, Crime Boss, and South Circle. Suave House was known for its smooth, laid-back sound and its emphasis on storytelling in rap. The label helped to establish the careers of many artists and played a significant role in the development of Southern hip hop during the 1990s. Some of the most popular Suave House tracks include Eightball & MJG's "Space Age Pimpin'" and Tela's "Sho Nuff." Although the label has been less active in recent years, its influence on Southern hip hop remains significant.
